Abstract: OBJECTIVE: To investigate the outpatient use of fluconazole tablets so as to provide reference for performing intervention on irrational use of fluconazole tablets. METHODS: The outpatient prescriptions of fluconazole tablets during July-Dec. period in 2012 were reviewed with the irrational prescriptions analyzed statistically.RESULTS: The elder women were the major outpatients who received fluconazole tablets. 2. 64 drugs were prescribed per prescription on average. The percentage of injections and national essential drugs prescribed were 0 and 51. 03%,respectively. The percentage of drugs prescribed by generic name was 100%. The average drug cost per prescription was 178. 01 Yuan. There were 19( 12. 93%) irrational prescriptions. The irrationality manifested as nonstandard writing in clinical diagnosis( 90%) and unsuitable usage & dosage( 10%). CONCLUSION: The use of fluconazole tablets was basically rational. However,intervention measures should be taken in view of the nonstandard writing in clinical diagnosis and unsuitable usage & dosage.
