Abstract: [Objective]To identify, analyze and evaluate the occupational hazards and protective control effect in a construction project of heavy industrial enterprise, provide the basis for further control measures of occupational hazards. [Methods]By using the occupational health survey and on-site detection, the comprehensive analysis and evaluation of the occupational hazards was conducted.[Results]The occupational hazards are serious in this construction project. The overall layout, production equipment, protective equipment and occupational health management are accordance with the relevant requirements basically. However, the protective measures for welding dust are difficult to implement because the welding operation points are abundant and unfixable, and distribute widely. The concentration of manganese and its inorganic compounds, carbon monoxide, benzene, welding dust, ultraviolet radiation and noise exceeded the limits in different degrees.[Conclusion]The enterprise must further strengthen the protective control of occupational hazards. It is recommended to improve the production process, increase the protection facilities on the critical control points of welding, painting and grinding, and improve the personal protection of workers.
