Characteristics analysis on wind power time series of Hunan province

Abstract: The chaotic characteristic analysis has been made on the wind power of Hunan province. The time delay and embedding dimension parameter for wind power time series are calculated by using the autocorrelation function method and the Cao method, and the sequence of phase space is reconstructed. Then its chaotic uncharacteristic is verified through calculating the saturation correlation dimension and the maximum Lyapunov exponent. And the results show that the wind power time series is of obvious chaotic characteristics,which has laid the foundation for the wind power forecasting based on chaotic time series.
