Abstract: On the basis of nine genealogy manuscripts among the Dunhuang documents, this paper first reviews relevant research results, then classifies the earlier published genealogy manuscripts into three categories according to their formats, and finally points out that S.5861 has the characteristics of two writing formats. By comparing the writing styles, materials, and contents of S.5861 and other manuscripts, the paper concludes that there is a connection between S.5861 and other four manuscripts, P.3191, H.59R, BD10613, BD10076 and S. 9951.The author finally classifies the nine genealogy manuscripts into three categories according to their copying systems and confirms the combined version focusing on S.5861 should be titled as Datang Tianxia Jun Xingshi Zupu (Surname Genealogy in the Great Tang Empire) . BD 08679, which is similar to the pieced up version, is a pseudograph and has nothing to do with Zhenguan Shizu Zhi in its title.
