Abstract: Yunlong Tiechang tin deposit is located in the Lancang River metamorphic belt of Qinghai -Tibet-Burma structure shrinkage parts which shape like “歹”,, which belongs to the east branch of the Southeast Asian tin belt--Yidian Thai tin ore belt of northern extension part of the Yunlong tin ore zone. Mineralization is related to late Yanshan Himalayan fine two mica granite. Orebody procuced in the layers' fissures of rock’s tongue edge outer contact zones or tectonic fracture in mixed rock. The ore types mainly are cassiterite-tourmaline and quartz, next for cassiterite sulfide and cassiterite - hornfels. Genetic type is chorismitization-hypothermal deposit. The important prospecting cariteria are chorismitization, main controlling fault and tourmalinization. Through study on geological characterisitics and prospecting criteria, there is positive guiding significance for searching similar deposit in this area.
