DNAPP Method for Selecting the Optimal Plants in Bioretention Systems

Abstract: Bioretention systems have caused great concern as the best management practice for the pollution load control of urban water environment hazards in the world. But it is not clear for the comprehensive assessment of multiple pollutants removal by the plants in a bioretention system. In order to raise the assessment precision,DNA projection pursuit (DNAPP)method was presented for the comprehensive assessment of multiple pol-lutants removal by the plants in a bioretention system by use of the projection pursuit technology,DNA optimization algorithm,lots of data and the assessment standards according to test data,and the detailed steps were developed for DNAPP. DNAPP are used to select the optimal plants accord-ing to the removal rate of multiple pollutants in the bioretention systems. DNAPP has the features of direct,credibility and high precision. And DNAPP is also used to decide the weights and test the index system. The optimal plants are Pen alo、Che alb、Lir spi in the nine assessed plants for the multiple pollutants removal by the plants in the bioretention systems.
