Abstract: Objective: To study the compatible stability of Xiyanping injection with fifteen injections such as ribavirin injection at different dosages in 5% glucose injection or 0. 9% sodium chloride injection. Methods: At room temperature, the changes of color, clarity,pH,insoluble particles and main ingredients were observed after admixture of Xiyanping injection with fifteen selected injections in 5% glucose injection or 0. 9% sodium chloride injection. Results: There was no significant change in color within 6 h. The pHs of Cefazolin Sodium for Injection and Cefuroxime Sodium for Injection rose gradually within 6 h,while the other injections had no significant change. The numbers of insoluble particles in the mixture of Xiyanping injection with fifteen selected injections increased and exceeded the limits set by Chinese Pharmacopoeia. There were no changes in the content of sulfonate E in Xiyanping injection within 6 h after admixture with the fifteen selected injections except the Acyclovir for Injection and the Ganciclovir for Injection, for which the content of sulfonate E declined gradually within 6 h. Conclusion: Xiyanping Injection is compatible with 5% glucose injection or 0. 9% sodium chloride injection within 6 h,but it is strictly prohibited to be mixed with the fifteen selected injections.
