Abstract: In order to improve storability of grapefruit, the "Rio Red" grapefruit was treated with 2% CaCl2 solution, taking water treatment as CK,and the effects of pre-harvest calcium treatment on quality of grapefruit were studied. The results showed that pre-harvest calcium treatment has no obvious effect on fruit hardness, but can effectively reduce loss mass rate of fruit, can inhibit the activities of CX,α-Af,β-Gal,and then inhibit fruit softening,so it can keep quality of fruit better. So pre-harvest treatment calcium can effectively delay fruit aging and softening, and prolong storage time of grapefruit.
