Abstract: This paper makes comparative analysis of offensive and defensive ability between Chinese basketball team and the opponents of the Chinese team in the 16th World Championship through literature review,video observation and mathematical statistics,and the results show that the Chinese team has the disadvantage of fewer field shoots,fewer hit rates and fewer rebound in the front court averagely per match,that there is much obvious difference with the opponents(P<0.01),that the rates of two-point goal and assistant attack times are fewer and there is significant difference with the opponents(P<0.05),that there is no obvious difference in the defensive aspect with no significant data difference between the Chinese team and its opponents(P>0.05),however,the Chinese team is inferior to the opponents.By comparative analysis of the matches between the Chinese team and its opponents in the 16th World Championship,this paper finds the difference between the Chinese team and its opponents in the aspects of offensive and defensive abilities,presents self-suggestions and provides reference for better development of Chinese Men’s Basketball Team.
