Study on beneficiation of high-sulfur iron ore in Iran

Abstract: Study on process mineralogy and beneficiation of a sulfur magnetite ore in Iran .The results show that the ore contain high iron content ,and iron minerals type are complex ,dominated by magnetite , containing a small amount of Hematite ,Limonite ,the harmful impurities sulfur content higher .Because of isomorphism of magnesium and iron ,the pure magnetite mineral grade is less than 68% Fe ,so mechanical beneficiation technology can not be mentioned in more than 68% Fe concentrate .Using a stage grinding and magnetic separation-reverse flotation or magnetic separation process after the two-stage grinding can reach more than 67% of the iron grade ,sulfur content is reduced to less than 0 .1% of the qualified iron ore concentrate .
