Abstract:
An accident of insulation breakdown of a 500 kV GIS disconnector is introduced.The fault current and the SF6 content are analyzed,the faulty disconnector is disassembled,and the solid decomposition product is observed by SEM.It is found that the insufficient moment of the screw on the equalizing ring due to poor assembly process increases the contact resistance,which results in heating and melting of the screw to cause the accident.
