Reserve capacity optimization model based on the wind speed Weibull distribution in the power system

Abstract: In order to solve the impact of the uncertainty of wind power and the wind power prediction uncertainty on the wind power integrating grid.The wind speed Weibull distribution and the probabilistic distributions of wind power were introduced,and a long-term economic dispatch optimization model with the probabilistic distributions of wind speed was proposed.Considering the long-term dispatch and the probabilistic distributions of wind power,reserve calculation was not required to consider the timing of wind power,so the model was simplified.After simulating the model,the impact of wind speed Weibull distribution parameters on reserve and wind farms cost were discussed.The simulating results show that the proposed scheduling strategy is effective and feasible.
