Abstract: The influence of the successful holding of the Eighth China Chongqing Garden Expo on Chongqing’s economy is concerned by all works of life,in the research on the related issues,there are different opinions.Based on input-output principle and the related macroeconomic theory,this paper analyzes and studies the pulling effect of the holding of the Garden Expo on Chongqing’s GDP and on tourism industry development in Chongqing area and further discusses its long-term effect.
