Abstract: Task-based approach is to fulfill communicative tasks. Compared with traditional approaches, task-based is a learner-cen-tered one which facilitates language teaching and evokes learner interest. This paper summarizes its features and principles of task de-signing and presents an example in senior English reading teaching.
