A study on relationship between paper formation and air permeability

Abstract: The relationship between paper formation and air permeability of one kind of printing paper was analyzed. The results show that there is a relationship of a part of quadric curve between air permeability and formation, and the reducing extent of air permeability gradually gets small with the increase of formation, until appearing with a little rise;random occurrence of pinholes and holes has a negative effects to air permeability;as for the paper with bad formation in production, the extent of air permeability can be reduced by improving formation, gets weaker as the improvement of formation, but air permeability increases with a little at ifnal.
