Preparation of Ba(Ti0.9Sn0.1)O3 Powder by Hydrothermal Process

Abstract: The monodisperse nanometer-sized Ba(Ti0.9Sn0.1)O3 was prepared at 240 ℃ and 12 h by hydrothermal method, with the barium chloride dehydrate, the titanium tetrachloride and the stannic chloride pentahydrate used as raw materials, and the potassium hydroxide used as a precursor. The particle size of the powders was (80 ± 10)nm and the special surface area was 10.8 m2/g. The result was consistent with the average particle size of the powders prepared by SEM, laser particle size tester and BET respectively, so that the obtained powder was proved to be a single dispersion state. The effects of initial reactant concentration, mineralization potassium hydroxide excessive concentration and hydrothermal temperature on the properties of prepared the Ba(Ti0.9Sn0.1)O3 power were investigated.
