Abstract: Based on a comprehensive analysis of the basic situation of the Chinese re-source-based cities’entrepreneurial environment and the environment’s influential factors, a scientific index system for assessing these cities’entrepreneurial environment was estab-lished. This entrepreneurial environment was assessed based on principal component analy-sis. The empirical research of Datong, Daqing and Panzhihua has verified the validity of this system,which lays a theoretical foundation for further development.
