Abstract: This paper discusses quite thoroughly the parity conservation problems of a physical system.A theorem is given and it is proved that the necessary and sufficient condition that the wave function (x,t) of describing the system state after the space inversion transformation will still be a possible state of the system is that Hamiltonilan remain unchanged by the space inversion.On the basis of this theorem, it is fuvther proved that if the system possessina space inversion invariance, in a nondegenerate case the energy eigenstate possesses a definite parity, in a degenerate case they may not possess a definite parity, but some linear combination of such eigenfunc-tion can be found, so that it has a definite even or odd parity.
