Abstract:
观众走进剧场,自然是为了看戏。何谓“戏”?近代学界巨掌王国维先生早先的定义是:“谓台歌舞演故事也”(《戏曲考原》)。在后来的《宋元戏曲考》中,他又对此作了修正。他认为,“戏剧”至少有这样三类:一类是“古剧”,即“宋金以前杂剧院本”;另一类是“今日流传之古剧”,即他所能见到剧本的古剧(主要指金元杂剧);再一类是“后代之戏剧”,即他所处时代流行的戏剧艺术,亦即当代戏曲。请注意该书中这样一段文字:后代之戏剧,必会言语、动作、歌唱以演一故事,而后戏剧之意义始全。故真戏剧必与戏曲相表里。显然,从“谓台歌舞演故事”,到“必会言语、动作、歌唱以演一故事”,王氏是作了他认为有必要的修正:其一,“言语、动作、歌
