Abstract: The traditional strategy of under frequency load shedding does not consider regulation of the pumped storage station(PSS).PSS is regarded as load in the state of pumping.The idea of using the coordination scheme of under frequency pump shedding(UFPS) and under frequency load shedding(UFLS) to inhibit the frequency dropping and reduce load in specific frequency ranges in case of frequency decreasing sharply caused by large-scale power shortage is proposed in the paper.The coordination of UFPS and UFLS is studied in this paper,and the optimal objective function and constraints for both shedding are also given.By using penalty function to optimize the calculation results,optimal UFPS scheme is obtained.Finally,simulations of faults analysis by simulation software prove that this method can inhibit grid frequency collapse effectively.
