Abstract: The Study introduces detailly the testment for Stabilizing sand by sprinkling emulsive asphalt and by planting psammophytes at the localities of K369 and K375 of Baotou-lanzhou Railway line from 1968-1970.In the semi-desert area with more than 140 mm of rainfall.it is possible to recover vegetation by combining the sprinkling of emulsive, asphalt with the plantation of psammophytes.In the study,the method is regarded as a way with bright future to stabilize sand,that is to say,the emulsive asphalt materials costs cheaply .source of supply comes sufficiently and the machinization standard for constructing operates highly.
