Abstract: Ash and internal markers were measured to verify the effect of them on the value of herbag intake and digestibility of yak in cold season. The content of ash in the hebage in Qingzang alpine grabsland peaked from July to August, and it in yak feces was higher in cold season than in warn season(P0.01)and was related closely with silica content (r=0.9691 and r=0.9008 for cold and warm season). The recovery rate of ADA (Acid-detergent Ash)and silica were 98.04 and 161.1%, respectively. The sample of manual collection contented more silica, ADA and ADI, (Acid—detergent Lignin) than cutted sample.
