Abstract: <正> Saponin content of ginseng fruit suppressedgastric ulcers produced by the ligation of py-lorus in rats;it also displayed a significant pro-phylactic effect on stress,acetic acid and hista-mine gastric ulcers.The saponin contained inginseng fruit acted through suppressing the se-cretion of gastric juice.The authors presumedthat this might be related to its action of block-ing the H₂ receptors of histamine.
