Abstract: In order to adapt to the new production style of multi-variety,small-scale, separated manufacturing process and short period, the system structure and information integration method of the assignment drive-oriented concurrent design system are studied. It is based on the analysis of the constitution model of design assignment. By analyzing the concept and technique of coordination design under network environment, the concurrent design concept for assembly process is proposed, which integrates CAD and CAPP. The developed prototype system and general outline are summarized. The prototype system with its software have been checked up and tested in the enterprise. The new product design model has great applicability.
