Abstract: A new seismic convolution model whose sampling interval may be so small that only one reflection exists in the sampling interval has been developed on the basis of a fact that the travel time is not necessarily n times as large as the sampling interval (n is a positive integer). The new convolution model has one delay error term more than conventional one. In this paper the pulse and frequency responses of the delay error are detailed, and the statistical characteristics of the new model explained, obtaining some new results.
