Abstract: There is almost nothingbut data of seismic network and seismic profiles to reveal thefeature of subsurface reservoirs on a pre-exploratory structures before drilling. Sincereservoir prediction before drilling is very important, a new method" patternrecognition" is introduced in this paper so as to predict the lithological distribution in preexploratory wells. It has been proved by practice that this method is evidently valuable inapplication.
