Abstract: The purpose of this article is to distinguish and find out the different conditions of wind energy in various parts of China,so as to fully utilize effective wind energy rtr sourscs in line with the local conditions.Data of the actual potentiality of wind energy can be provided when program for energy mutual supplement is to be made.The division is made in three aspects.In the first aspect,wind energy density and the number of annual accumulated hours with effective wind energy (3-20m/s and 6-20m/s) are taken into account.In the second aspect,stress is put on the percentage of wind energy in each season.In the third aspect,calculation of the maxmum wind speed for designing wind driven generator is made by using the probability distribution function.The article adopted the extreme distribution density function {F(x)=exp[-e-a(x-μ]} in computing the max.wind speed that occurs once 30 years.Based on the three indexes mentioned above,the whole country is divided into 4 regions,region with rich wind energy,region with moderate wind energy,region with usable wind energy and region with poor wind energy,subdivided into 30 districts,A division chart on which the name of each region is given and a chart indicating the distribution of max.wind speed once 30 years are presented.
