Abstract: Subgenus Sinorhadinopsylla subg. nov.Diagosis: The new subgenus only female known, belongs to genus Rhadinopsylla Jordan et Rothschild, 1912. It is readily separable from the other subgenera of this genus by the following unique characters of the genal comb: The basal line is nearly straight with only 4 spines; the 1st spine especially small; the 3rd spine longest; the 4th spine especially broad, its apex rounder, and reaching about to 4/5 of the 3rd spine.Other subgeneric characters: The fron:al tubercle appears obviously an angle shape. The front of head wider, the distance from the frontal tubercle to the oral angle about 1/2 as that from the frontal tubercle to the sit of the falx. The row of bristles terminating far below the frontal tubercle. The labial with only 5 segments. The metepisternum separated from the metanotum by a sclerotized rige, AH tarsal segments V with 4 pair of lateral bristles. The hilla of spermatheca of female with a dorsal hump, its apex clearly constricted, and has an internal sclerotic papilla.Type species: Rhadinopsylla leii sp. nov.Rhadinopsylla (Sinorhadinopsylla) leii sp. nov. (figs. 1-5) Main specific characters: In female, 1) the labial palp some what beyond the apex of fore coxa; 2) the pronotal comb with only 16 spines; 3) the inner surface of hind tibia without bristle; the longest apical bristle of the hind tarsus Ⅱ only reaching to middle of the fourth; 4) the posterior margin of st. Ⅶ with two sinus, the dorsal sinus is deep and narrow, the ventral sinus is broad and round. The new species is named in honora of Dr. Lei Chongxi for his outstanding contributions in the field of plague studies in Yunnan.Male unknown.Record: Holotype female (length 2.8 mm), off Tamiops swinhoei clarkei, collected on 28, October, 1985 from Mt. Gaoligong (25.1°N, 98.7°E) (elevation 2700 m), Gongshan County, northwest Yunnan, China. Type specimen is deposited in the Reasearch Institute of Epidemic Diseases of Yunnan Province.
