Abstract: This paper deals with six new speeies of parasitie Myxosporidia from freshwater fishes in Zhejiang province. Measurements are in microns. Type specimens are deposited in the Department of Biology, Hangzhou University.Myxosomatidae Poche, 19131. Myxosoma magna sp. nov. (fig. 1)Host: Carassins auratus auratus (Linnaeus).Location: Gill filaments.Locality: Hangzhou region (30°17'N, 120°9'E).Cysts: White, large oval form.Spore: Large, pyriform, shell valves smooth and without V-shaped folds, satural ridge straight. Two elongated pyriform polar capsules arranged at the anterior end with a notable mtercapsule process.Dimensions of preserved (in 4% formalin) spores: Length 17.9 (17.6-18.5), width 9.67 (8.93-9.96), thickness 7.39 (6.53-7.80), polar capsule 8.66 (8.24-9.27) by 3.79 (3.44-4.15). With 8-9 coiled pokr filaments. This new species is similar to Myxosoma dujardini Thelohan, 1899, but differs from the latter in size and shape of spores.Myxobolidae Thelohan, 18922. Myxobolus zacconis sp. nov. (fig. 2)Host: Zacco platypus (Temm. et Schl.). Location: Urinary bladder.Locality: Shengxian county (29°36'N, 120°50'E).Trophozoite and cyst unobserved.Spore: Ellipsoid in shell view and convex in sutural view. Two unequal pyriform polar capsules arranged at the anterior end of spore, with marked intercapsule process. Shell valves smooth without folds.Dimensions of preserved (in 4% Formalin) spores: length 10.58 (10.35-11.39), width 7.08 (6.21-7.94), thickness 5.32 (5.18-5.58), small polar capsule 5.07 (4.49-5.52) by 2.45 (2.42-2.76), large polar capsule 5.87 (5.58-6.56) by 2.45 (2.42-2.76). Coiled polar filaments 4-5.The new species resembles Myxobolus opsariicathyi Lee et Nie, 1965 and also M. elarodes Nie et Lee, 1964, but differs from both the latter species in shape and size; M. opsariicathyi with two equal polar capsules, M. elaiodes with polar capsules smaller than those of the new species.3. Myxobolus megalobramae sp. nov. (fig. 3)Host: Megalobrama amblycephala Yih.Location: Out wall of intestine.Locality: Hangzhou, West Lake (30°17'N, 120°9'E).Cyst: White ellipsoid in form, 0.6-1.0×0.3-0.4mm in dimensions.Spore: Spherical in thecal view, convex in sutural and top view. Shell valves always with 2-4 "V" shaped folds. Sutural ridge straight and notable. Two equal oval polar capsules arranged at the anterior end of spore. The sporoplasm with a relatively large iodinophilous vacuole and two rounded nuelei. The dimensions of the spores: length 8.9 (8.8-9.3), width S.6 (8.4-8.9), thickness 5.4 (4.8-5.7), polar capsules 4.2 (3.8-4.3) by 2.8 (2.6-3.1).This species resembles closely M. amurensis Achmerov, 1960, but they are distinguishable in the shape and dimensions of spores.4. Unicauda xihuensis sp. nov. (fig. 4)Host: Carassius carassius cuvieri Temm. et Schl.Location: Dorsal musculature after head.Locality: Hangzhou, West Lake (30°17'N, 120°9'E).Cyst: Very large in dimension 30×25×25mm.Spore body inverted oval in thecal view and oval foam in sutual view. Shell valvessmooth, sutual ridge striaght. Two pear-shaped polar capsules arranged in various- seats, or in anterior end, or in posterior end, or in lateral sides. Sporoplasm with aniodinophilous vacuole and 2 nuclei. A single smooth tail genenally extended from theposterior end of each spore body.Dimensions were based on 20 preserved (in 4% formalin) spores: total length 34.8 (23.3-40.7). Spore body length 8.2 (7.3-9.3), width 5.8 (5.7-6.3), thickness 5.3 (4.7-6.0), tail length 26.6 (16.0-31.4); polar capsules 3.7 (3.3-4.0) by 2.3 (2.0-2.7) with 4-5 coiled filaments.Similar to U. carassii Davis, 1944 and U. brachyura Davis, 1944, but size smaller than in all other known species of this genus. Myxidiidae Thelohan, 18925. Zehokkella anguillae sp. nov. (fig. 5)Host: Anguilla japonica Temm. et Schl.Locality: Hangzhou, West Lake. (30°17'N, 120°9'E).Location: Urinary bladder.Trophozoit: Irregular or rounded in form always with two spores.Spore: Elongated elliptical in form. Polar capsules large and spherical. Sutural line curved in S-form. Disporous interpolar capsules with t
