Abstract: Coal bed gas is an unconventional natural gas which was self produced and stored in the coal layer.Its main ingredient is methane.Compared with coal and petroleum the coal bed gas is a clean energy resources,so it can improve energy resource structure,relax the tension of energy resource,and decrease envirionment pollution to speed up its development and utilization.Based on the coal bed gas feature,analyzing in detail the influence of development coal bed gas on environment,it has been pointed out that there exist more positive than negative to surrounding atmosphere,though there is a series of unfavorable effects on surrounding water,soil and plants etc.
