Abstract: <正> If 1% rare earth chloride is added to the coating agent containing 5% AlCl3,the coating efficiency ofTiC will be increased greatly.A protective crust consisting of Al2（SiO3）3 and SiO2 will form on top of thecoating agent in the temperature range of 850～1000℃ when SiO2 powder of a thickness of 5～10 mm isspread on top of it.The protective crust can offer a good air-proof property and increase the denseness of thecoating structure.
