Abstract: Weigh exactly 30mg sample of human hair,place in a silica beaker,add 1.00 ml of 1:1 HNO_3 and put on a water bath,dissolve carefully,then evaporate to dryness.Redissolve in a few drops of 0.5% HNO_3,transfer to a 10ml Nessler tube and make up to volume with 0.5% HNO_3. The optimum operation conditios are as follows: Drying time 15 sec.Current 40 Amp. Ashing time 5 sec.Current 60 Amp. Atomizing time 5 sec.Current 240 Amp. Inner inert gas flow 0.5l/min Outer inert gas flow 1.5l/min Ware length 2794.8 Slit width 1.9 H.C.L,Current 10 mA Recorder full-scale 20mv. The advantages of this method are without the need for extensive sample pretreatment, easy operation and high sensitivity.Absolute detection limit is 5.6×10~(-12)g(3kσ) Mn in human hair. The data of this paper indicate τ_A=0.495,τ_R=0.750,τ_A/τ_R=0.660 and N/N_0=0.812 in terms of This method is satisfactory.
