Identification and Significance of the High-frequency Waves in Ta rim Basin

Abstract: Combining wavelet analysis with Milankovitch cycle by logging data, we accurate ly determine the continuous age of strata, and chronostratigraphic framework of L ower Silurian in Tarim Basin is found, then sedimentary rate of research secti on is calculated.   Two high-frequency wave processing are performed by sliding window and wavelet analy sis, which control and influence the sedimenta ry evolution of basin, and the ide ntification of which provides the possibility to combining wave processing with sequence stratigraphy and with reservoir and cap rock, and improves the accuracy of each research relative to wave analysis.   On the basis of comparison and analysis of all data from wells, lithology and se quence, the figure of comprehensive analysis of high-frequency wave is discover d, which includes the information about curves of sedimentary rate, sedimentary cir cumstances, sequence and soon. Furthermore, we discovered the relations among high-frequency waves, sequence and changes of sea level, between high-frequency wave and reservoir as well as caprock.
