Abstract: In ths paper an populations with same sample size n+1 and same constant sample mean a are arranged into n types. for each type it is proved that standard deviation can more fully utilize and express the informations of the variation of samples than total distance or nean deviation, therefore standard deviation is more advantageous than the latter two.
