Abstract: The subacute toxicity of danofloxacin in Kunming mice wasstudied. The test was carried out by administration in drinking water atdifferent doses of 20, 50,100 mg/(kg. day) in Kunming mice. The mice werekilled and examined for coefficient of organs, moisture content of organs, whole blood, serum glutamicpyruvic tuansaminase, glutamicoxaloacetic transaminase, alkaline phosphatase, creatinine and ureanitrogen, examined the histopathology changes at 15 and 30 days afterdrug administration. In whole experiment time, the body weight, feed intakewere recorded and feed efficient was calculated. The mice of middle and low doses have not manifested toxicity. The mice of high dose manifestedslight toxicity, but this slight toxicity showed no relationship with experiment time. The results suggested that the toxicity of danofloxacinin mice was slight.
