Abstract: On the basis of the compositional analysis of waste polymer drilling liquid,the method of chemical conditioning solid-liquid separation for the purpose of making waste drilling fluid harmless was studied experimentally. The compound flocculant prescription consisted of partial hydrolytic polyacrylamide (HPAM) and polyelectrolyte A as flocculant and mixed acid as coagulant could thoroughly break down the colloid system of the waste drilling liquid of HPAM type and make the waste mud flocculate and dewater.Having carried out flocculating test of three samples from different well pits,it was demonstrated that after adding chemical agent to the waste mud the natural dewatering rate reached 25% ̄ 35%,the vacuum dewatering rate increased to 51% ̄61% under 13.3kPa pressure difference,and the floc lost mud making ability.
