cDNA CLONING AND SEQUENCE ANALYSIS OF PROSTAGLANDIND SYNTHASE IN HUMAN TESTIS

Abstract: Objective To clone and analyze lipocalin-type prostaglan din Dsynthase (L-PGDS) cDNA in human testis. Methods Human testis RNAs are transcribed reversely and ampli ficated by PCR, and the PCR products are purified and sequenced. Results The nucleotide sequence of L-PGDS cDNA in human testi s has 99.5% homology with gene sequence coding L-PGDS in human peripheral bloo d lymphocytes and 96.0% with L-PGDS cDNA in human brain. The homology of corre sponding amino acid sequences are 100% and 94.2% respectively. Conclusions The explanation of L-PGDS cDNA and derived amino acid sequence in human testis is very important to further explore characteristi cs of L-PGDS protein and its roles in male reproduction.
