The treatment of acute aortic saddle embolism

Abstract: Objective To explore the diagnosis and treatment for patientswith acute aortic saddle embolism.Methods The emergency operations of retrograde catheter thrombolectomy or transaortic thromboembolism were done on 36 cases, while the propathy and complication were treated simultaneously.Results The normal blood flow were restored just after operation. 3 cases were died of myonephropathic metabolic syndrome or heart failure. 30 cases were followed up from 1 to 4 years. The excellent effects were obtained in 20 cases.Conclusion The early diagnosing and treating may increase the curative rate and decrease the mortality in patients with acute aortic saddle embolism.
