Abstract: In July to August 1984, a lot of phytoseiid mites collected by the author from Northeast China eighteen species of the genus Amblyseius identified. Among them five are new species, two are Chinese new. records, one is newly described for its male, and ten known species: Amblyseius arientalis Ehara, A. querci Liang a Ke, A. makuwa Ehara, A. herbicolus (Chant), A. pse-udolongispinosus Xin, Liang et Ke, A. oguroi Ehara, A. rademacheri Dosse A. tsugawai Ehara, A. wuyiensis Wu et Li, A. prunii Liang et Ke. The type specimens are kept in Guangdong In. stitute of Entomology.Amblyseius alpigenus sp. nov, (figs. l-4).This species is similar to A. multidentatus (Chant) and A. obtusm (Koch), but it differa from multidentatus in having much longet setae L1 and L4 and shortei setae L9. This species diers from the latter two species in the shape of spermatheca and location of ventrianal po-res.Holotype ♀, paratype 1♀, 25. VII. 1984, Wenquan (42°N, 128°E), Mt. Changbai, Jilin Province, on giass.Amblyseius magnus sp. nov. (figs. 5-11)This species is similar to A. eujeniae Gupta and A. charui Gupta, but it can be separated from the latter two by the dorsal shield much larger, the location of ventrianal pores, and the shape of spermatheca.Holotype ♀, Allotype ♂, 7. VII. 1984, Jingpohu (43.8N, 129.3°E), Ningan County, Hei-longjiang Province, on Larix sp., paratypes 5♀♀, 7-10. VII. 1984, Mudanjiang City, and Jingpohu, on Larix sp..Amblyseius changbaiensis sp. nov. (figs. 12-16)This species resembles A. charui Gupta, but can be distinguished from the latter in the setae L9 and M2 longer, the ratio of the genital shield to ventrianal shield, and the shape of spermatheca.Holotype ♀, paratypes 2♀♀, 17. VII. 1984, Baishan station, Antu County (42°N, 127,8°E), Mt. Changbai, on unknown plant.Amblyseius jilinensis sp. nov. (figs. 17-20)This species similar to A. moril Ehara in the dorsal chaetotaxy and the shape of ventri- anal shield, but differs from the latter in the setae M2, L1, L4 and L5 longer, setae 9. shorter, and the shape of spermatheca.Holotype ♀, 24. VIL 1984, Gongzhulin (43.6°N, 124.8°E), Huaide County, Jilin Province, on Artemisia sp., paratypes 2♀♀, 24-28. VII. 1984, Changchun City (43.9°N, 125.3°E) and Gonghulin, on Artemisia sp..Amblyseius subreticulatus sp. nov. (figs. 21-26)This species is similar to A. reticulatus (Oudemans), but is different from the latter in the following characters: Preanal pore present on the ventrianal shield and with three macrosetae on leg IV in subrettculatus, whereas preanal pore absent and with one macroseta in reticulatus. Ventrianal shield longer than wide in this species, while equal in the latter species, The shape of spermatheca is also different in both two species.Holotype ♀, allotype ♂, VII. 1984. Haerbin City (45.8°N, 126.7°E) Heilongjiang Province, on Artemisia sp., paratypes 8♀♀, VII-VIII. 1984, Haerbin, Heilongjiang Province; Changchun City (43.9°N, 125.5°E), Jilin Province; Xingcheng (40.6°N, 120.7°E), Liaoning Province; on Pyrus sp.; 5♀, 23. Ventrianal shield connected with peritrematal shield, with three pairs of preanal setse and on3 pair of preanal pores. Sperma-todactyl L-shaped.Specimens observed. 6♀♀, 1♂, 29. VII. 1984, Mt.
