Abstract: The pollen morphology of 7 species in the genus Lespedeza Michx. from Shandong was examined by light microscope and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The pollen grains of the genus are subproblate in equatorial view, 3 - labed - runded, and 3 - eolparate in polar view; the exine scupture is with reticulate, the polar axis of the pollen grains is 19.6~26.3 μm, and the equatorial axis is 8.6~21.7μm. The results are that the pollen morpholcgy characteristic of Lespedeza Michx. is in support of the genus and species class for classic taxonomic.
