Abstract: Three issues are mainly discussed: the characteristics of the ultrastructure of saltglands;the function of salt glands;salt-secreted mechanism. It is especially pointed out that plasmamembrane H+-ATPase plays an important role in the course of secreting salt. At last,the directions ofthe research about salt glands are pointed out.
