Abstract: Measuring the filmed take-off movement of Hao Zhongwei during the jumping over 2-2.19m in the contest discovered that the speed of the last step of run-up and the frequency of his last step were decreasing. Although during the jumping over 2.19m the vertical component of the take-off velocity is 5.076m/s, the take-off angle was as big as 93.26° and these are perhaps some of the reasons why his jumping record was not satisfactory. This paper can be presented to the coaches and athletes as a reference to improving the movements.
