Abstract: The stationary random responses of non-linear shear-ty peMulti-Degrees-of-Freedom(MDOF) hysteretic systems are analyzed by using th e Pseudo Excitation Method (PEM) combined with the Equivalent Linearization Meth od (ELM). The solution of the equivalent linear system is obtained by iterativel y solving complex algebraic equations instead of the Lyapunov equations. The eff iciency of this method is much higher for practical engineering systems with man y degrees-of-freedom.
