In China it is a bit difficult to confirm teacher educators' identity. The self-study of teacher educators is a new trend of professionalization of teacher education in US. It focuses on teaching practices of teacher educators who provide instructional activities for teachersf professional development, and is becoming a new way to improve teacher education quality. As a concept borrowed from Western countries, "teacher educator" should be paid more attention in China.
