Simulation for High-Speed Signal Transmission on Interconnects of Back-Plane

Abstract: In this paper, the macro model of interconnects with frequency-dependent parameters on the back-plane is presented by using ABCD matrix method. The macro model is applied to the equivalent transmission line model of connectors and the end-loading IBIS transient behavioral model of I/O buffer to simulate the practical circuits. The results well agree with that which from the PNC software of Ansoft company while the simulation efficiency is improved obviously.
