Abstract: A modified higher-order and higher-resolution MUSCL-TVDscheme was applied to numerical investigation on the flow field ofmulti-component mixing in the flame reactor.The results were compared favorably with the available experimental data.The numerical simulation was implemented before the cold test.The results show that the diameter of the nozzle has little effect on thethe axis of the jet while the ratio of main stream velocityto jet velocity plays the key role, which were confirmed by the cold test later
