Abstract: A methodology to design robust H∞ fault-tolerant controller for linear delay systems with uncertainty is developed. By assuming the output of fault actuator to be any arbitrary energy-bounded signal, the fault-tolerant control problem of linear delay systems with uncertainty is transformed into the problem of H∞ control. The controller is delay-independent and can be obtained by solving a modified Riccati equation. A design example s hows the effectiveness of the obtained approach.
