Effect of Anode Flow Fields on the Performance of a Single-Chamber Microbial Fuel Cell

Abstract: 实验研究了阳极分别采用蛇形和交指型流场的单室微生物燃料电池(MFC)性能,发现采用蛇形流场的单室MFC不仅启动时间较快,而且性能较好。通过对中间腔室侧的阴阳极电极表面SEM表征发现,阳极采用交指型流场的单室MFC阴阳极表面均有生物膜存在,这部分额外的生物膜阻碍了阴阳极之间的氢离子传输,从而导致阳极采用交指型流场的MFC欧姆内阻增加,电池性能恶化。研究还发现当中间腔室厚度为20 mm时,阳极采用蛇形流场的单室MFC性能最佳。
