Abstract: The implication of density in latitudinal correction to gravity measurement is investigated and the inner link of the density of the level ellipsoid with its latitude is also predicted. In this paper the density integral formulae of gravity potential at pole and equator of the revolving ellipsoid are derived. In accordance with the gravity potential condition at pole and on equator of the level ellipsoid, the latitudinal density distribution function of the level ellipsoid is given and further the hypothesis that radial and longitudinal mean density of the earth normally distribute along latitudinal direction and its latitudinal density on the equator is larger than those at poles is put forward.
