Abstract: This paper introduced the phenomenon of DC power consumption increased caused by increased current density in electrolytic system at Daye smelter,analyzed the reasons for the high DC unit consumption was electrolyte composition,additive dosage,anode plate composition,contact potential etc.After taking corresponding measures,DC power consumption decreased from 319.24/t.cu to 291.74kW.h/t.cu.
